Celebrate the Legacy of Canadian Country Music

Then and Now Volume 1 is a compilation album featuring inductees of the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, recording their hits as duets with the next generation of country music stars.

Tracks & Artists

The Then and Now Volume 1 artists have created a deep and lasting imprint on the international music landscape and serve as a reminder that, as popular music culture evolves, today’s stars become tomorrow’s legends, and will continue to inspire artists that follow.

The ‘Making of’ Then and Now

The Then and Now Legacy Project was conceived by veteran producer Tom McKillip in recognition of the contributions of Canadian country music legends. Each track was recorded at the legendary Armoury Studios in Vancouver BC, followed by vocal sessions at Arc House Studios in Kelowna. Then and Now Volume 1 was released on September 7, 2018 during the Canadian Country Music Association’s (CCMAs) Legends Show during Country Music Week.

It is envisioned as the first of a series of recording projects, as iconic inductees continue to be added to the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.

The album was created in partnership between the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, Creative BC, and the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association.

Celebrate Canada’s country music culture and support today’s top country music artists.
